Live it just the way you are. May 2005

Every one of us faces the fall in a totally different way because we are all extraordinarily different people. If you don't know your personality style yet, take our quiz to find out. And remember, personality descriptions are not intended to stuff you in a box, but rather to dust off your wings so you can really begin to fly!

You are definitely one to think and ponder, ponder and think. But maybe this month is a good time to lighten up on some of the brain busting. Days, weeks, entire years can often slip by without you ever getting the opportunity to fully experience them. Life is more than what we see on paper. It is what we taste, see, hear, and touch. It is what we sense down deep in our spirit as well as the dreams we lock away for another time. Perhaps this is the time. Begin to fully experience the glory of living with every fiber of your being. Don’t wait for another day to shower someone with kisses or surprise a child with a water gun fight. Don’t think, just do.

Rx for Starry-Eyed Dreamers
Out of all of the personalities, you, my dear, are the one who relies most on a sense of integrity and inner knowledge to navigate through life. Don’t shortchange your innate abilities. Instead, rely on them. That voice inside often knows exactly what she’s talking about. The life you are living is a wonderful opportunity for amazing things. You can fly with your wings or simply tuck them behind your back. Don’t waste another day living a life that is not meant for you. You know exactly who you are, so don’t try to be something you’re not. You will live your best life as long as you are living true to the person you are. Don’t hush that small voice within you. Listen to her carefully.

The mere thought of the unknown strikes fear in your heart. You love to know what tomorrow is bringing and plan for it accordingly. This is that time of year when the school year starts counting down, people take vacations, and schedules seem a bit lighter. Don’t think that you have to whip out that calendar and start filling in the blanks. This is a great time to embrace a bit of ambiguity in your life. Yes, that may mean lightening your grip a bit. Leave some room in your life (and the lives of your children) for spontaneous beauty and unexpected miracles. And these are things you just can’t jot down in your day planner. This may not be the summer for science camp, horseback riding, and swim team. Perhaps this will be the summer for spontaneity.

Rx for Creative Spirits
I know how difficult it is for you to finish up on your projects. You get bored, impatient, and you often feel like backing out. Take heart, my lady. For many of you, the school year is almost out and the schedules will lighten up a bit. But for now, you are going to have to reach down deep inside and find that last burst of creative energy within you. Use it to finish up your projects or the school year with your typical panache. Go out with a bang! And if you are one of those who educate year-round, then perhaps this is a good time to take a break from the books and paper and do some life learning. This change of pace may be just what you need to keep from feeling burned out.
