Every
one of us faces the fall in a totally different way because we are
all extraordinarily different people. If you don't know your personality
style yet, take
our quiz to find out. And remember, personality descriptions are
not intended to stuff you in a box, but rather to dust off your wings
so you can really begin to fly!

Yes, it’s summer! Time to live large and enjoy life. The Self segment
in this magazine was all about pleasure, and perhaps it’s time to
invite a bit of that into your life. You tend to think on the practical
side. If it doesn’t have a functional use, then why the heck do you
need it? Well, darling, maybe it’s time to discover one of the biggest
needs in your life – pleasure. Try to spend just a bit of time and
energy this month incorporating things that give you pleasure – perhaps
you should schedule a moonlight stroll or a spa day. It may not be the
most practical thing in your life, but we all need to feel alive.

You enjoy the summer so much. The schedules are lighter and the pressure eases
up. But keep in mind that it takes little efforts every day to stay ahead of
the game. Don’t use summer as an excuse to let your hard work blow away
in the soft, summer breezes. Get up before the kids and spend a few minutes
preparing for the day. And don’t forget about your PM routine before
you go to bed. Picking up and straightening the house before you go to bed
will leave you more refreshed and energized than a chilled mocha in a café on
the beach (okay, maybe not, but it’s worth a shot).

Ah, sweet, sweet summer. Time to lighten up and leave our routines by the wayside.
But, wait a minute! You love routines! Just try to keep in the back of your
mind the notion that everyone needs a little down time now and then (kids included).
It’s not necessary to keep their days full and organized. And it’s
not necessary for you either. Maybe it’s time to learn the gentle art
of letting go. Leave blocks of time open to explore, create, and dream. And
don’t feel pressured to fill it up with chores, errands, or anything
involving a screen (television, computer, whatever). Quiet down a bit so that
you can listen to that creative voice within.

Summer holds so much energy for you. You tend to shoot for the moon every
time summer rolls around (this summer, I’m running a marathon,
trekking across the Gobi desert, and redecorating the house). Big dreams
are a must; and by all means, hold on to them. But also allow yourself
room to grow and evolve. Just because your plans take a different turn
doesn’t mean you haven’t succeeded. Your path to success
has just taken a new direction. Joy doesn’t come at the end of
the road. The joy is in the process of getting there. Try not to get
caught up in the end game, but relish every pleasure that comes your
way.
